When you are off-campus you will need to log in with your portal credentials to access databases and journals that the library subscribes to. This is done through a proxy server which tells the database/journal provider that you are affiliated with Spalding.

If you visit the library website and use Search Everything, Databases A-Z, or other library tools to access the database/journal that you need, you should automatically be prompted to log in. If this does not occur, you can copy and paste the following proxy address in front of the URL/web address you are attempting to access:

http://ezproxy.spalding.edu:8080/login?auth=shibboleth&url=

So, if you were attempting to access www.jstor.org, you would paste the proxy address in front of this information, and would end up with:

http://ezproxy.spalding.edu:8080/login?auth=shibboleth&url=www.jstor.org

This should prompt you to log in with your portal credentials.

If this does not resolve your issue and you are certain that the library subscribes to the database/journal you are attempting to access, please contact the library at library@spalding.edu or submit a ticket through this system.
