Typically, the library does not collect current course textbooks.
However, there are a few circumstances in which you may find your book at the library:
- Your professor may choose to place a textbook on Course Reserve. If that is the case, you can check it out for in-library use at the 1st Floor Desk.
- There is a small chance the library could have the item in the regular circulating collection. You can check by searching the title or ISBN in the DiscoverEagle catalog.
- If the library doesn't have a book, we can attempt to retrieve the book from another library through Interlibrary Loan. However, many libraries do not lend their textbooks.
- If none of those options work, you may need to purchase the book at the SU Bookstore.
If you are having trouble affording your texbooks, you may be able to receive assistance from the Dean of Students.
