The Spalding Library has a subscription to the Louisville Courier-Journal, which includes a daily physical paper that we display at the first floor information desk for patron use.

Unfortunately, the CJ only offers individual licenses, not institutional licenses, which means that we cannot add the CJ to our online Database A-Z list for multiple user access because we’d run the risk of violating the individual license usage. The CJ website contains content from the past 30 days. If you are interested in accessing archival issues of the CJ, see the following options:

  1. Search LFPL’s Courier Journal Historical (ProQuest) database. You will need a public library account/card for searching in their databases outside of the physical library.
  2. Contact CJ’s Back Copies Department: 502-582-4070, M-F 8:00 AM-2:30 PM. If they find the article/s, you may need to pay for them.
